Lets talk about red meat

Over the last 15 years we have been told in the media, and by some experts, that red meat is bad for us.

Lets take a closer look at the facts in hand. Experts have now found out that red meat contains not only saturated fat,  and omega 3 fats, amino acids, and proteins when fed grass fed. A study in 18 countries using 120,000 people over ten years found a lower risk of heart disease and death from eating saturated fats. The study showed eating good quality grass fed red meat is good for health.

All of the goodness is 100% obtained inside our bodies when we eat, grass fed raised animals. Not factory farmed animals.

Humans have been eating meat since the beginning of time, in fact the diet started as meat heavy, very low sugar and evidence suggests that at that time illnesses such as heart disease and diabetes and any other chronic illnesses did not in fact exist.

Research shows that when we eat good grass fed red meat it is in fact good for us, meat is a nutrient dense food that experts believe can help prevent diseases. But this does not mean you should rush out and buy a huge steak. This only works when you eat 4oz (palm size meat portion) and 70% plants and vegetables.

The down side of meat consumption is buying the factory farmed meat. Animals are subjected to poor conditions. The grains that are fed to them cause acidity which can call illnesses, leading to antibiotics. All of which we consume. Not only is it bad for us to eat meat like this, but it is bad for the environment. Find out where your meat is coming from and know what is going into your body, We are what we eat!
