Cacao crispy cake

This is a lovely party treat, or something you can easily make with children. The best thing is that they are made with goodness. My children do not even recognise that they are being fed some antioxidants, and not the usual processed sugar.

Not only are they good for you and delicious they take no time at all. I would highly recommend them for a children’s party.


1 cup of brown rice puffs

1 cup of quinoa puffs

5 tablespoons of coconut oil

2 tablespoons of cacao

4 tablespoon rice syrup

1 tbsp of cashew nut butter


Heat a small pan and add the coconut oil until it has melted add the cacao and stir add the rice syrup and nut butter.

In another bowl add the rice and quinoa. When the mixture has very slightly cooled off add it to the rice and quinoa mix and stir in well.

Spoon the mixture into muffin cases and place in the freezer for 14 minutes. Take out and leave to chill in the fridge. When they come out of the fridge they will taste delicious with a firm texture.
