Brunch

I love having people over for brunch. I find it is the perfect time of day to have families over, everyone is awake (usually) and they are at their very best and also very hungry. I find that children especially love it, they get excited eating this particular meal, and if they have choices here they make the most of it.

One of the highlights is the ‘Lazy Susan’ it encourages them to look at everything and they seem to get very excited about it.

For me personally I find a smorgasboard brunch is very social, and we all are alert and engage good energy. I find this is a really lovely time to really catch up with people.

My brunch usually consists of some cooked foods such as avocado and eggs, or bacon and tomato, and then we make granola yogurts with fruits, beautiful birchers, We whip up a few different kinds of smoothies  all delicious and healthy.

My menu is aimed at catering for everyone’s tastes.

Brunch ideas:

  • Poached eggs with coconut spinach and homemade hollandaise sauce
  • Streaky bacon roll
  • Chipolata roll
  • Cooked tomato and mushrooms
  • Fruit (usually mixed berries and mango) and greek yogurt with honey
  • Smoked salmon blinis
  • Freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Smoothies – green and berrie
  • Frittata – with veggies
  • Cacao granola homemade
  • Citrus fruits
  • Fried tomatoes and homemade tomato sauce

Experiment with all your favourite things for breakfast. Serve and see how fast people get through this meal with huge smiles and full tummies. Brunch is a huge favourite in the house.
